Book Format
Each recipe is displayed in the same way. The first box lists the ingredients
needed. The second box shows pictures of the tools and equipment needed to prepare
the recipe. The third box describes the steps involved in making the recipe.
In the upper right hand corner, the number of spoons indicates the level of difficulty.

There
is usually some information about the recipe such as where it
came from and personal comments by the tester. Nutrition and
food facts are highlighted. Recipes are diverse and include Asian,
Mexican, and vegetarian. There are 135 recipes.
Another
unique feature: A reading specialist reviewed the text
for appropriateness and ease of understanding. She also approved
the format for each recipe. |
